about merino

If you hadn't already noticed, we LOVE merino. In fact, it's all we do!
Forget your scratchy school jumpers, superfine Merino is an absolute game-changer. Whether it's hot, cold, humid or dry, superfine Merino is the best skin-to-skin fibre ever.

it's great for a good night's sleep;

Wool helps regulate your body temperature, keeping you in what is known as 'the thermal comfort zone' for longer,” explains Associate Professor Chin Moi Chow from The University of Sydney. “You therefore not only fall asleep quicker, but also have deeper, less fragmented sleep.”***

it's odour-resistant;

1. Wool is a hygroscopic fibre, meaning it readily absorbs moisture – up to 35% of its own weight – keeping the skin surface drier and discouraging bacterial growth.
2. Wool absorbs and locks way odours during wear. The wool fibre actively binds odours within the fibre where bacteria do not thrive. As a result, the garment remains fresh for much longer.
3. These odours are then significantly released by wool garments when laundered, with wool garments retaining less odour than cotton and synthetics after washing. ****

it’s naturally breathable;

Superfine Merino is 2x more breathable than cotton and 30x more breathable than polyester.** This is because wool fibres can absorb large quantities of moisture vapour and release it to evaporate in the air, stabilising the humidity levels and micro-climate between the skin and fabric* acting as a super smart ‘second skin!’ Neat, huh?!

it's 100% biodegradable;

When a wool fibre is disposed of, it will naturally decompose in soil in a matter of years, slowly releasing valuable nutrients back into the earth.*

it's 100% natural;

Wool is 100% natural, grown year-round by Australia’s 68 million sheep. They consume a simple blend of water, air, sunshine and grass.* No nasty micro-plastics hidden in this natural fibre.

it's 100% renewable;

Every year Australian sheep produce a new fleece, making wool a completely renewable fibre.*
